TIMES NEWS NETWORKUdupi: Former minister and MLA V Sunil Kumar has alleged that anti-national and anti-Hindu forces are provoking young people in the name of a movement and attempting to create anarchy in the country. He claimed that young people in villages were being mobilised under the ‘Cockroach’ banner to create intolerance.He was speaking at a protest organised by the Udupi district BJP unit, on Tuesday. He alleged that the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and its supporter, the Congress, were spreading unrest across the country in the guise of protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi against the NEET question-paper leak.He said attempts were being made to insult the country by using abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Hinduism. Statements damaging the country’s dignity had been heard on several occasions, including during Jantar Mantar protest, he claimed. Sunil Kumar alleged that politics had been conducted against Modi over several issues, including denying the US visa, accusations of intolerance, the award-return campaign and opposition to the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).He also claimed that attempts were made to question the armed forces’ actions during Operation Sindoor.“No govt has supported the NEET question-paper leak. A re-examination was conducted as soon as the matter came to light. Despite this, attempts are being made to use the issue as a pretext to create unrest against thecountry,” he said.Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna claimed that 95% of those who participated in the Delhi protest were not students. “The true colours of these traitors will be exposed within the next 100 days,” he said.‘Govt silent on KPSC scam’MLA Sunil Kumar has alleged that the state govt is silently watching the alleged corruption in Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), raising suspicions that it may also be complicit. Speaking to reporters in the city on Tuesday, he said one scandal or another was emerging from the KPSC every day, causing anxiety among young people.He alleged that even the KPSC chairman was involved and that crores of rupees had been collected in connection with recruitment. Meanwhile, Udupi district BJP Yuva Morcha activists submitted a memorandum to Udupi SP Hariram Shankar demanding that a case be registered and action taken against those responsible for allegedly insulting the national flag during a protest over the NEET question paper leak held in Manipal recently.
