PUNE: Another purported video of Siya Goyal, one of the accused in the Ketan Agarwal murder case, has surfaced on social media, allegedly showing her attending a private party in “Singapore”.The clip, believed to be from December 10, 2022, purportedly shows Goyal dancing at a dimly lit venue with disco lights flashing and music playing in the background. According to social media posts accompanying the video, it was recorded during a private event in Singapore. However, the authenticity of the video has not been independently verified. The video has gone viral amid the ongoing investigation into the death of Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal, who allegedly died after being pushed off a cliff at Lohagad Fort near Pune on June 18.Meanwhile, Pune Rural Police on Sunday took the two accused, Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary, to Lohagad Fort to recreate the crime scene as part of the investigation. Officials said the reconstruction exercise was aimed at understanding the sequence of events leading to Agarwal’s death.Speaking to ANI, Pune Rural Police SP Sandeep Singh Gill said, “The accused have been taken to the Lohagad Fort, specifically to the spot where the incident occurred, to recreate the scene. The entire sequence of events is being reconstructed: the route taken, where the accused positioned themselves, the specific actions performed, and how the incident unfolded. The accused has provided details regarding this.“

Earlier in the day, Goyal’s parents, Pravin Goyal and Pooja Goyal, appeared before the Lonavala police for questioning.Police suspect that Goyal was unwilling to marry Agarwal and was allegedly under family pressure to go ahead with the wedding. Investigators believe this may have been one of the factors behind the alleged murder.Siya Goyal and her friend, Chetan Chaudhary, were arrested on June 23 in connection with the case. They have been remanded to seven-day police custody till June 29 as the investigation continues.

Following the incident, the Maharashtra government approved the setting up of a fast-track court and appointed senior advocate and Rajya Sabha MP Ujjwal Nikam as the Special Public Prosecutor. The decision came after Agarwal’s father met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Pune and sought speedy justice. The chief minister assured the family that strict action would be taken against the accused and that the case would be fast-tracked.
