Nagpur: Nagpur will get a new direct rail link to Gorakhpur with introduction of the Charlapalli–Gorakhpur–Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express from October 2. South Central Railway has regularised existing special service as train nos 22075/22076, providing an additional option for passengers travelling between Nagpur and Uttar Pradesh.The inaugural regular service of train no 22075 will depart from Charlapalli at 9.45pm on October 2 and reach Nagpur at 6.25am next day. After a five-minute halt, it will leave Nagpur at 6.30am and reach Gorakhpur at 6.25am on Sunday. The return service, train no 22076, will commence from Gorakhpur on October 4, reaching Nagpur at 6.40am following day and departing at 6.45am for Charlapalli.The Amrit Bharat Express will have stoppages at Ballarshah, Chandrapur, Nagpur and Betul in Nagpur division. Its route will also connect passengers with major destinations including Kanpur, Lucknow, Gomti Nagar, Gonda and other cities in Uttar Pradesh. The train will have 22 coaches, comprising eight sleeper, 11 general, one pantry and two guard-cum-luggage coaches.Nagpur will also get another long-distance rail connection with regularisation of Lalkuan Junction–KSR Bengaluru City Weekly Express as train nos 15302/15301.Train no 15302 will commence regular service from Lalkuan on September 19. It will reach Nagpur at 2.30pm the following day and depart at 2.35pm for KSR Bengaluru City, where it will arrive at 3.25pm on Monday. The return service, train no 15301, will start from Bengaluru on September 22, reach Nagpur at 6.45am the next day and depart at 6.50am.The weekly train will stop at Betul, Nagpur, Sewagram, Chandrapur and Ballarshah in the Nagpur division. It will connect the city with major destinations including Bhopal, Itarsi, Jhansi, Vijayawada, Katpadi, Jolarpettai and Bengaluru, offering passengers additional options for travel between Nagpur and southern India.Both services are expected to strengthen Nagpur’s position as an important rail connectivity hub while providing additional long-distance travel options for passengers from the city and surrounding districts.
