Amravati: President Droupadi Murmu has appointed former Amravati mayor and senior BJP leader Kiran Mahalle as a member of the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), New Delhi. Mahalle has held several key positions in the BJP, including heading Maharashtra BJP Mahila Morcha and BJP state secretary. She has been actively involved in social work in Vidarbha region through Rajaram Pratishthan. She has been advocating for women’s empowerment, social justice and development.Known for her commitment and strong public connect, Mahalle is considered a voice for the marginalised and the backward.
