Nagpur: At least 27 electricity meters were damaged after a fire broke out in the meter panel of a residential building in the Lakadganj area on Wednesday morning, disrupting power supply.According to information, the blaze quickly spread to the connected wiring and meters installed for individual flats at Harihar Apartment. Society secretary Vikram Bonth alerted the fire department, following which a team from the Lakadganj station rushed to the spot.Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control before it could spread further to other parts of the building.Officials said the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, though a short circuit is suspected. No injuries were reported.
