Nagpur: Amravati Rural Police have intensified their crackdown with a comprehensive cyber operation to trace and remove hundreds of objectionable videos and images of girls that went viral following a shocking abuse and blackmail case.The cyber sweep aims to minimise further trauma to the survivors by swiftly deleting the material from the internet and ensuring confidentiality during the probe.Superintendent of police (Rural) Vishal Anand said that his teams are working round the clock in close coordination with the Maharashtra Cyber Cell. “Our social media monitoring team and cyber cell are actively searching cyberspace for videos and photos of the survivors,” Anand told the TOI. “We are identifying every platform, website, group and social media handle where this content is being shared or liked and would target them one by one. Takedown notices and such actions are underway,” said the SP.Sources said that the accused persons, and their accomplices, may have uploaded videos and images on different platforms for their vested interests.
