Chennai: Union home minister Amit Shah is slated to arrive in TN on Friday evening for a two-day visit covering Trichy and Karaikal in Puducherry. BJP sources said he would land at Trichy airport at 6pm and stay overnight before departing on Saturday for Karaikal on a helicopter. His programme there includes a public meeting at Santhai Thidal. He will later hold an internal meeting with BJP leaders at a hotel in Thirunallar. He will return to Trichy in the evening where he might have a meeting with party leaders before departing to Delhi. He last visited Trichy in Jan, when he held closed-door talks with AIADMK leader S P Velumani.
