Srinagar, July 24: The Amarnath Yatra is expected to restart on Saturday after remaining suspended for six days due to adverse weather conditions, officials said on Friday.
According to officials, arrangements are being finalized for the resumption of the annual pilgrimage as weather conditions have improved significantly. The yatra had been halted following continuous rainfall that made the trekking routes unsafe for pilgrims.
Following an assessment of the situation and the completion of restoration work on the pilgrimage track, authorities decided to move ahead with plans to resume the yatra.
Pilgrims have been urged to strictly follow the guidelines issued by the administration and security agencies and undertake the pilgrimage only according to the approved schedule.
