ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) on Tuesday said it signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with IIT Roorkee to collaborate on education, research, innovation and industry engagement.
The company said the partnership will focus on joint academic programmes, executive education, workforce development initiatives, industry-focused consulting and collaborative research in manufacturing and steel technologies.
AM/NS India will leverage its industry-integrated education initiative, NAMTECH, to support talent development, applied research and innovation activities under the collaboration.
“The partnership aims to build future-ready talent, accelerate applied research and develop solutions for India’s manufacturing and steel sectors,” said Dilip Oommen, CEO, AM/NS India.
The company said the collaboration is expected to create opportunities for students, researchers, faculty and industry professionals to work on industry-focused projects and technology development initiatives.
