Alwar: An 18-year-old female student died after allegedly consuming a poisonous substance in the Thanagazi police station area of Alwar district Thursday.According to station house officer Ramesh Chandra, the girl left her home around 10am, telling her family she was going to fill out a college scholarship form. Around noon, the family received a call informing them that she had consumed poison.She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was given primary treatment and later referred to Alwar District Hospital after her condition turned critical. The family reached the district hospital around 4pm, where she died during treatment.Police conducted a post-mortem and handed over the body to the family. The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained. Police said they are questioning family members and further investigation is underway.
