Srinagar, Oct 8: Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Wednesday extended greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and beyond on the occasion of the annual Urs of Hazrat Sheikh Noor-ud-din Noorani, Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA).
In his message, Bukhari described Sheikh-ul-Alam as a revered Sufi saint, mystic, poet and Islamic scholar whose teachings emphasised love, harmony and peaceful coexistence.
He said the revered shrine of Sheikh-ul-Alam at Charar-i-Sharief continues to serve as a symbol of spirituality and devotion, reflecting Kashmir’s longstanding ethos of harmony and coexistence.
Bukhari said the saint’s timeless teachings had influenced generations in Kashmir and beyond and continued to convey a message of peace, compassion and brotherhood.
He also urged devotees and others visiting the shrine during the Urs to pray for lasting peace, prosperity and stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
