Noida: The fourth UP International Trade Show will be held at India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida from Sept 25 to 29, with an expected footfall of around 5 lakh. Besides the state’s one district, one product (ODOP) initiative, this year’s event will highlight one district, one cuisine (ODOC). Noida’s ODOC offerings include cake, pastry and bakery products.UPITS aims to bring together the state’s industrial, commercial, agricultural, food, textile and handicraft strengths on a single platform before a global audience. A preparatory meeting was convened on Saturday to review arrangements and address key requirements to ensure a seamless experience for visitors and exhibitors. Assistant district magistrate Manglesh Dubey said, “With UPITS 2026 expected to welcome around 5 lakh visitors across its Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) segments, comprehensive planning assumes greater significance. This time, besides One District, One Product (ODOP), another initiative of Uttar Pradesh Government, One District, One Cuisine (ODOC) will get huge traction.”As a reflection of its industrial reality, Noida’s cakes and bakery products were chosen as its cuisine. A survey found 20,000 bakeries operated in the district, including smaller establishments like cafes, as well as large production houses like Anmol and Priya Gold.Foreign brands too run production facilities in the district. Luxury French pâtisserie Ladurée, for instance, runs a 20,000 sq ft central production facility, supplying macarons and pastries across outlets in India, even though it does not have a retail store in the district.Executive director (corporate) and CEO of India Exposition Mart Sudeep Sarcar said that in addition to local visitors, the international footprint of the trade show was also expanding significantly this year. “Foreign buyer registrations have already been received from several countries,” he said.Five foreign countries — Russia, Austria, Japan, Singapore and Vietnam — will participate in the show.Govt has also launched a mobile app — UPITS 2026 app — which can be used by buyers and exhibitors to identify relevant business opportunities and schedule B2B meetings in advance, enabling more focused and productive business interactions during the show. The meeting also discussed coordination between the district administration and traffic police, focusing on operational preparedness to manage traffic and visitor movement during the show.Representatives of local residents, industry and trade associations participated in the meeting. Discussions focused on strengthening coordination among stakeholders and ensuring that the large influx of visitors expected during the five-day international trade show is managed efficiently.Officials also discussed measures to make commuting more convenient for residents and visitors and ensure that increased movement around India Expo Centre & Mart is handled smoothly.
