Varanasi: Alumnus of BHU and resident of Dharampur village in Jahanaganj area of Azamgarh, Akhil Pandey brought pride to the region securing 1st rank in assistant commissioner GST list and 55th rank in overall merit list in Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission examination. Son of farmer Shailendra Pandey, Akhil got selected for post of assistant commissioner (commercial tax) in his very first attempt. Pandey completed education up to class 12 from the village school and higher education in commerce from BHU. tnn
