Ranchi: Students’ agitation against the irregularities in Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) examinations is likely to intensify during the monsoon session of the state assembly as on Tuesday, All India Students’ Association (AISA) announced that it would gherao the assembly on Friday.AISA state president Vibha Pushpa said that her organisation would stage a march from Birsa Chowk towards the state assembly, adding that the party’s national president, who also protested at Jantar Mantar in Delhi over national eligibility cum entrance test’s paper leaks, would lead the protest.She said that among the demands was the cancellation of the 14th JPSC combined civil service examination, claiming that rampant corruption has come to light in conducting the exercise.She mentioned that students of the state were on the agitation path for the past several days over wrongdoings in JPSC and JSSC examinations, but the govt has not reached out to them. She demanded that the govt should hold talks with the students on the latter’s demands.She demanded that the state govt should publish an examination calendar for conducting recruitment examinations and implement it.Meanwhile,student groups on Tuesday continued their protests against JPSC and JSSC examinations at Jaipal Singh Munda stadium. Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantkari Morcha’s Devendra Mahto, who is on a fast unto death at the site, became ill and was administered saline by a medical team. Meanwhile, a group of folk artists also staged a cultural programme at the venue in support of the students.
