Srinagar, Oct 7: A delegation of interns and representatives of the Association of Interns and Medical Students Association (AIMSA) today met Peerzada Zahoor Ahmad, JKAS, Officer on Special Duty to the Minister for Health & Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education, and Social Welfare Department, J&K, regarding their pending file and the issuance of the order.
The concerned officer present there, who had also signed the written order, informed themthat all the required levels of processing and signatures have already been completed. He assured them that the order will be issued within the stipulated time period and should come in the next few days.
Based on todays discussion and the assurance given to us, the intern representatives are considering giving the administration some time for the order to be issued.
We are also planning to give a press statement today regarding the delegation, the discussion we had, and the assurance received from the concerned authorities.
If the order is not issued within the next 2/4 days, we will most likely resume our strike, with 5 days being the maximum waiting period. If the order still does not come within that period, we will hold a press conference/video press conference in Srinagar, with the available interns, and formally announce the resumption of the strike.
This decision is based on the assurance given to us today. If the promised timeline is not followed, we will proceed with the planned course of action.
Dr Mohammad Momin Khan AIMSA President said Govt must Hike Stipend immediately within given time period
