Chandrapur: A group of armed men allegedly attacked AIMIM corporator Azhar Sheikh on Sunday in Chandrapur, leaving him seriously injured.As per Sheikh’s complaint, the attack took place between 1am and 2 am at a restaurant over a political rivalry. He identified the alleged attackers as Aslam Khan, Firoz Khan, Farhan Khan, Faizan Khan and several others. Sheikh suffered a deep cut in his hand that required six stitches.He also has multiple other injuries. He claimed that he had been receiving a lot of threats especially after winning the corporator election.Based on his complaint, City police registered FIR under relevant sections.
