Hyderabad: Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Friday stressed that the use of modern technologies like artificial intelligence, coupled with tighter monitoring of tax revenues and a more structured administrative approach, is driving a steady rise in state revenues.At a cabinet sub-committee meeting on resource mobilisation, he said AI-led interventions have improved collections in key sectors such as mining and transport. He directed officials to crack down on illegal activities, including sand mining, unauthorised crusher operations, illegal transport and overloading.He said that continuous assessments and stricter tax enforcement have resulted in a 15% rise in GST collections in the commercial taxes department over the past three months, with the registration department also recording growth. Linking revenue mobilisation to long-term economic goals, he asked all departments to prepare clear plans aligned with the target of building a $3 trillion economy by 2047. Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy suggested global promotion of land sales under HMDA to unlock higher revenue potential through wider outreach. Bhatti also directed registration officials to first present land value revision reports to the sub-committee before placing them before the cabinet.
