Ranchi/Dhanbad: Chief justice of Jharkhand high court Justice Mahesh Sharadchandra Sonak on Saturday observed that while artificial intelligence and modern technology have transformed the way people work and learn, they cannot replace human emotions, values and wisdom.Addressing as chief guest at National University of Study and Research in Law’s orientation programme for the newly admitted students, he remarked that a person’s thoughts shape language, language influences actions, actions become habits, habits form values, and values ultimately determine one’s destiny.He encouraged students to embrace every experience in life, whether favourable or challenging, as an opportunity to learn and grow.Meanwhile, addressing faculty members of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad on Saturday, Partha Pratim Chakrabarti, professor of computer science and engineering at IIT Kharagpur and former director of the institute, said that AI is transforming from a technological tool into a new paradigm for learning, reasoning and problem-solving that will fundamentally reshape education, research and innovation.The lecture was part of the institute’s orientation programme for the new academic session, focused on the potential of AI in academics and scientific research.
