Ahmedabad: A 27-year-old driving a two-wheeler and his pillion rider died near the Gota flyover after being hit by a dumper on Wednesday evening. A complaint was not registered till reports last came in.According to witnesses, the victims — Narpat Danfi, a 27-year-old Tharad resident living at a PG near Kocharb Ashram in Paldi, and Sushilkumar Prasad, a resident of Ballabhgarh in Uttar Pradesh — were travelling on a Honda motorcycle. It appears that Prasad might have booked a two-wheeler ride through a radio cab service, said police.Inspector R V Vinchhi of Sarkhej-Gandhinagar traffic police said, “The accident took place when the motorcycle was driving down the bridge from the Viashnodevi side. A dumper with the registration number, GJ 24 X 5130, rammed into the two-wheeler. Both men sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot.”The driver of the dumper has been identified as Vimal Dodiya, a 26-year-old resident of Fatepura in Dahod, said the inspector.
