Ahmedabad: Narol police arrested two persons and seized 2kg of ganja, an autorickshaw and two mobile phones, with the total value of the seized property estimated at Rs 1.6 lakh, officials said on Sunday.The arrests were made near the AMTS bus stop at Narol Circle following a tip-off. Acting under the supervision of PI J B Agrawat, a surveillance team intercepted a CNG autorickshaw and recovered 2kg of ganja from the vehicle.The accused were identified as Riyazuddin Khudabax Kazi, 63, and Sameer alias Pango Sheikh, 26, both residents of Fatehwadi in Ahmedabad. A case was registered at Narol police station under NDPS Act.The operation was carried out by the Narol police surveillance squad led by PSI M V Luva. Police said investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the contraband and determine whether the accused were part of a larger narcotics supply network.
