Ahmedabad: Nineteen-year-old Asrar Ali Saiyed, from Kapadvanj in Kheda district, was among those killed in the Ramol firecracker factory blast, bringing to light the story of a teenager who had been working at the unit since he was just 11 years old.A resident of Saiyedwada, Asrar had been living with his maternal aunt in Ahmedabad while working at the firecracker unit for nearly eight years. His family said he started earning at a young age to support his father, Irfan Ali Saiyed, who is differently abled and struggled to make ends meet by driving an autorickshaw.Asrar was the family’s main source of financial support and had continued working despite his young age. His death has left the family devastated.His body was taken to his native village, where his last rites were performed on Sunday morning amid grief. Family members said they had hoped the 19-year-old would help improve the family’s financial condition, but those hopes ended with the fatal blast.
