Ahmedabad: Education authorities in Ahmedabad have directed all non-govt aided secondary and higher secondary schools, including grant-in-aid and fee-based institutions, to submit details of girl students for allocation of the Kanya Grant for the 2026-27 academic year.
According to the official communication, the grant will provide financial assistance to support free education for girls studying in Classes IX to XII. The amount sanctioned to each school will be based on the number of enrolled girl students.
Eligible schools under both grant-in-aid and fee-based schemes have been asked to furnish enrolment data in prescribed formats. The completed forms must be submitted to the concerned office by Aug 11.
