Ahmedabad: A 60-year-old woman from Narol has filed a police complaint against her two sons, alleging they illegally took possession of their late father’s assets within days of his death and threatened to kill her when she raised objections.The woman’s husband died on Feb 6 last year. She alleged that one son allegedly transferred Rs 4.3 lakh from the deceased’s bank account through multiple online transfers within five days of his death. He is also accused of altering the nominee’s details on three fixed deposits — each worth Rs 10 lakh — using OTPs and net banking access on the deceased’s phone. The complainant further alleges that the sons took away her husband’s gold jewellery, along with a recently purchased Honda City car, without her consent.The woman subsequently approached police, prompting an investigation into the alleged bank fraud, tampering of fixed deposit records, and theft of jewellery and the vehicle.Authorities have initiated an investigation into the allegations involving the bank transactions, fixed deposits, jewellery and vehicle.
