Ahmedabad: Teams from KD Hospital organised eye care camps in Jotana of Mehsana district and Chanasma in Patan district to extend specialised eye care services to rural communities.Dr Anuja Desai, head of the hospital’s ophthalmology division, said that more than 21,000 patients were screened under Project Disha. “Building on our experience of working with communities and students, vision centres have been launched to bring eye care services closer to these areas. They will provide free medical guidance and specialist consultations, with the primary objective of preventing avoidable blindness,” she said.
