Ahmedabad: If the people of Ahmedabad complained of sweat soaking their clothes, and frizz turning their hair wild, the Met office gave the reason. At 41.3 degrees celsius, Ahmedabad recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state on Friday. Topping that was high relative humidity — 66% at 8.30am and 41% at 5.30 pm. Also, the maximum temperature was 0.4 degrees above normal. At 29.5 degrees, the minimum temperature was 1.4 degrees above normal.According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), for the next five days, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar may experience partly cloudy skies with maximum temperatures around 41-42 degrees, and minimum temperatures of around 29-30 degrees.Due to the weather systems around the region, some parts of Gujarat could get light to moderate showers. Some other cities and towns with 40 degrees-plus temperatures were Gandhinagar (40.7), Rajkot (40.6), Surendranagar (40.4), and Amreli (40.1).
