GPSC reschedules Common General Studies exam to Aug 1

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has announced a revised date for the preliminary Common General Studies examination, which was earlier scheduled for July 26. The examination will now be held on Aug 1, from 3pm to 4pm.The rescheduling applies to 34 advertisements for which a common examination is being conducted. GPSC had earlier issued important instructions on July 13, regarding the downloading of admit cards and submission of necessary undertakings by candidates appearing for multiple posts.According to the latest notification, there will be no change in examination centres. Candidates who have already downloaded their admit cards for the July 26 examination can use the same hall ticket for the Aug 1 examination and are not required to download a fresh admit card.However, candidates who have not yet downloaded their admit cards can do so from 1pm on July 28, until the day of the examination. GPSC has clarified that no new admit cards will be issued for the revised date.Candidates have been advised to reach their respective examination centres well in advance. Entry through the main gate will be permitted only between 1pm and 2.15pm.All other instructions mentioned in the earlier notification dated July 13 will remain unchanged. Candidates have been urged to carefully follow the guidelines to avoid any inconvenience on the examination day.
