Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has postponed the preliminary examinations for 34 recruitment advertisements that were scheduled for July 26, citing heavy rainfall across the state and representations from candidates.The examinations for multiple Class-I and Class-II posts were slated to be conducted on Sunday between 11am and noon.In a notification issued on Saturday, the commission stated that the examinations have been deferred until further notice. Revised dates will be announced subsequently.The postponed examinations cover recruitment for veterinary officers, nursing officers, principals, senior drug inspectors, assistant engineers, deputy executive engineers, estate officers, ICT officers, legal officers, administrative officers, Gujarat Education Service posts, deputy directors of animal husbandry, joint directors of agriculture, and assistant horticulture directors, among others.

The recruitment drives span administrative, engineering, medical, nursing and agriculture-related departments, including the Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board (GWSSB) and the Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB).GPSC has advised candidates to regularly visit its official website for updates regarding the revised examination schedule.
