Ahmedabad: A pet German Shepherd attacked a passerby in a residential society in the Narol area on March 1, leading to a police complaint and action against the dog’s owners by the civic body.Following the complaint filed at Narol police station, a team from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s Cattle Nuisance Control Department (CNCD) dog complaint cell visited the dog owners on Friday. The investigation revealed that while the dog had been vaccinated, it was not registered with the AMC, a violation that the owners rectified the same day by completing the registration. Police have filed a case against the owners for allegedly allowing the dog to roam unsupervised in a manner that posed a risk to public safety, as well as for injuring the passerby. The German Shepherd has since been moved to a shelter.
