Ahmedabad: Over 50 chess players with visual impairments participated in various events organised at the Blind People’s Association (BPA) on Sunday to mark International Chess Day, celebrated annually on July 20. Paritosh Dave, coordinator for blind chess, said that in the past few years, several players have made their mark in both national and international events. “It is a matter of pride for us that several of the players and former players have also forayed into coaching, where they even work with sighted players,” he said.
