Ahmedabad: AMC officials raided Jay Mataji Traders in Madhupura on Tuesday, placing around 2,000kg of spices worth an estimated Rs 12.50 lakh under stop-sale orders and sealing the unit that manufactures chilli, turmeric, coriander-cumin powders and garam masala.The action followed testing of a gravy sample collected from Jay Ambe Bhojanalay. The sample was found to be unsafe.An AMC official said, “Strict action will continue against activities affecting food safety. If any individuals or units are found endangering citizens’ health, the AMC will take stringent legal action under the FSSAI and GPMC Acts.”
