Ahmedabad: Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport has become the third airport in India to earn Airports Council International’s (ACI) Level 5 Airport Customer Experience Accreditation, the highest recognition under the global programme.The airport, operated by Adani Airport Holdings Ltd, moved up from Level 4 accreditation, which it received in June 2025. The accreditation recognises airports that embed customer experience across operations, strategy, governance, innovation and stakeholder collaboration. ACI assesses airports on customer understanding, service design, performance measurement, airport culture, innovation and collaboration across the airport ecosystem.Over the past year, the airport expanded digital services and upgraded passenger facilities to improve travel experience. It launched a 24×7 AI call centre for passenger queries and complaints, strengthened services through the Adani One app, introduced biometric immigration kiosks, and expanded digital payment and feedback systems.The airport also upgraded domestic lounges, seating areas, wayfinding and accessibility infrastructure. It increased Terminal 2 entry lanes from five to 11 and exit lanes from five to 10 to for smoother traffic movement. Facilities for senior citizens, persons with reduced mobility, and families were also enhanced.
