Ahmedabad: Just six months after a Seventh Day Adventist School student was murdered by another, three students of the school allegedly attacked their class monitor with a blade.A complaint was registered after a Class 7 student was allegedly attacked by the three classmates following a dispute about discipline, said R B Chavda, the inspector in charge of the Khokhra police station. He said the complaint was filed by the victim’s father who named the three juveniles.In Aug last year, a Class 10 student was stabbed by a fellow student, after which govt took over the administration of the school. As for the recent case, the FIR said that the victim asked the three students to maintain discipline. Police said the request led to a confrontation that escalated into an assault. The FIR stated that during the attack, the three students cut the victim’s shirt with a blade and tried to injure him. Investigators have taken the victim’s shirt as evidence and have sent it for a forensic examination to determine if the blade was used as a weapon. Police are examining the circumstances in which the blade was brought into the school. After the attack, police increased patrolling around the school. Officers are also recording statements and verifying the details provided in the complaint and the FIR. Officials alleged that the school attempted to downplay the incident, which delayed the call to the police.
