Gurgaon: Days after a clash between two groups of students at a private university in the Manesar area, family members of an injured student and villagers staged a protest on Monday. Brijesh’s family members and villagers gathered outside the university campus and demanded strict action against the accused. They urged the university management to expel the students involved. Police said the clash took place in the Amity University premises on Feb 3, during which Brijesh, was assaulted by a group of students. He sustained serious injuries and was admitted to a hospital for treatment. An FIR was registered atpolice station on Feb 5. Police arrested three students in the assault case, while efforts are on to identify and nab others involved.
