Chatra: Deputy commissioner (DC) Kirtishiree G inspected the scenic Khaiva Bandaru waterfall on the Chatra–Lawalong border on Monday and took stock of the existing facilities available for the tourists. With an aim to develop the waterfall as a popular tourist destination, the DC asked officials to develop basic infrastructure and promote the site.
Kirtishiree asked the officials to repair the approach road to the waterfall and the sheds for visitors. “Developing natural tourist spots could significantly enhance tourism prospects in the district and create employment opportunities for local residents,” she said. The DC also inspected the anganwadi centre at Bhagwania in Bazartand.
