Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and Linklaters have advised on the sale of 35,000,000 equity shares of Lenskart Solutions by Platinum Jasmine A 2018 Trust, acting through its trustee, Platinum Owl C 2018 RSC Limited, an affiliate of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), for an aggregate consideration of INR 2,390 crore.
CAM acted as the Indian legal counsel to Morgan Stanley India Company, while Linklaters Singapore acted as international legal counsel to the placement agents in the transaction.
A total of 19 global and domestic investors acquired the 2.3% stake sold by Platinum Jasmine, with Kotak Mahindra Asset Management emerging as the largest buyer. It acquired 1.27 crore shares, representing a 0.7% stake, for Rs 626 crore.
Among the global investors, Integrated Core Strategies (Asia), Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore, Societe Generale, Viridian Asia Opportunities Master Fund, Goldman Sachs Investments Mauritius, Ghisallo Master Fund, Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund and Citigroup Global Markets Mauritius collectively acquired 89.79 lakh shares, representing a 0.51% stake in Lenskart, for Rs 440 crore.
The share sale was undertaken through the screen-based trading platform of the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) and BSE on September 21, 2026.
