Kolkata: Adamas University has partnered with Salesforce to establish West Bengal’s first Salesforce Academia Centre of Excellence, an initiative aimed at equipping students with industry skills in artificial intelligence (AI), customer relationship management (CRM), data analytics and enterprise automation.
The collaboration will integrate Salesforce technologies, including Agentforce, Agentforce 360 Platform, Tableau and Data 360, into the university’s curriculum, enabling students to gain hands-on experience in developing AI-powered applications, enterprise workflows and analytics solutions.
The Centre of Excellence will follow Salesforce’s Academia framework, offering professional electives, value-added courses, micro-credential programmes, hackathons, live projects and industry mentoring. Students will also have access to Salesforce’s Trailhead platform to earn globally recognised certifications aligned with industry requirements.
The initiative is also expected to strengthen faculty capabilities, with educators participating in Salesforce’s Faculty Development and Train-the-Trainer programmes to integrate emerging AI technologies and industry practices into classroom teaching.
Arundhati Bhattacharya, President and CEO, Salesforce South Asia, said the collaboration reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening India’s AI talent ecosystem by combining industry-relevant learning with practical experience and globally recognised credentials.
“Universities have an unprecedented opportunity to move beyond imparting knowledge to creating problem-solvers who can apply AI, data and digital technologies to solve real-world business challenges,” she said.
Prof. (Dr.) Samit Ray, Chancellor, Adamas University, said the partnership is aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry by providing students with immersive learning in AI-powered technologies and the Salesforce ecosystem.
According to the university, the Centre of Excellence supports its broader strategy of building AI-ready graduates by embedding enterprise technologies into academic programmes and expanding opportunities for experiential learning.
