Panaji: Porvorim police arrested four persons in connection with the murder of Anand Patil, 37. Police had earlier filed an FIR for attempt to murder but added murder section to the case after Patil succumbed to his injuries.Porvorim PI Tukaram Chavan said Ankush Jyotish Sharma, a resident of Porvorim, in his complaint said that on June 18, at around 5pm at a garden near Socorro panchayat, the accused people abused and assaulted the complainant’s friend, Patil, with fist blows and kicks, thereby causing him injuries. Chavan said that the accused also threatened the complainant with dire consequences.“The motive of the crime is a previous enmity between Patil and accused,” said Chavan.The four accused are identified as Pranav Borkar, 28, Arjun Paryekar, 18, Anish Borcar, 21, all residents of Chimbel and Sourabh Narulkar, 31, a resident of Socorro.
