New Delhi: The accused couple in the alleged racial abuse case in Malviya Nagar joined the investigation and are being questioned, police said on Monday. The case was registered after 3 women from Arunachal Pradesh alleged that they were subjected to racial slurs, criminal intimidation and insults to their modesty during an altercation on Friday.The dispute reportedly began when dust from electrical installation work at the women’s rented accommodation fell onto the premises of the couple living on the floor below. A video of the incident surfaced on social media, drawing attention to the matter.Police registered an FIR under relevant provisions of BNS, including charges related to criminal intimidation, insulting a woman’s modesty and promoting enmity between groups. Further investigation is underway.
