Jhunjhunu: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Tuesday arrested an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and a head constable attached to Reengus police station in Sikar district for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 8,000.The arrested policemen were identified as ASI Sanwatram Gurjar and head constable Jai Singh.Sikar ACB additional superintendent of police Vijay Singh said the complainant alleged that the two policemen demanded a bribe for releasing a vehicle seized in an accident case.After verifying the complaint, the ACB laid a trap and nabbed head constable Jai Singh while allegedly accepting Rs 8,000 from the complainant at Reengus police station.Police said ASI Sanwatram Gurjar was arrested separately by an ACB team from Khatu Shyam. According to the probe, Jai Singh allegedly accepted the bribe on the instructions of the ASI.
