Neem ka Thana Court ACJM No. 01, Assistant Director Prosecution Kaushal Singh Rathore

Jhunjhunu: The Sikar unit of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Friday arrested Kaushal Singh Rathore, assistant director (Prosecution) attached to the ACJM No. 1 Court in Neem ka Thana, while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000.ACB director general Govind Gupta said the bureau received a complaint alleging that Rathore had demanded Rs 3.25 lakh to remove Sections 111(4) and 308 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, from the case of the complainant’s son, who is locked up in Neem Ka Thana jail in connection with an organised gang case pending before a court. He also allegedly promised to weaken the prosecution’s case and avoid making effective arguments against the accused.During verification, the bribe amount was negotiated down to Rs 3 lakh.Sikar ACB additional SP Vijay Kumar said Rathore was caught near Jaipur Railway Station while accepting the first instalment of Rs 50,000 from the complainant. The trap was executed by inspector Subhash Meel and the Sikar ACB team.The accused is being questioned, and further investigation is underway under the supervision of ACB additional director general Smita Shrivastava and inspector general S. Parimala.
