Ahmedabad: An Ahmedabad woman has filed a police complaint against her brother-in-law, accusing him of a persistent campaign of harassment and intimidation conducted through family WhatsApp groups. According to the FIR registered at the local police station, the accused flooded the shared digital groups with obscene language, vulgar slurs, and explicit death threats directed at multiple family members.The victim alleged that the abuse was not confined to the screen; the brother-in-law reportedly stalked her and loitered near her residence, causing significant mental distress and a sense of constant insecurity. The motive behind the escalating hostility is believed to be a simmering property dispute, with the accused allegedly using criminal intimidation to force the woman and her husband off their rightfully possessed family land.In her detailed statement to the authorities, the complaint seeks strict action under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for acts intended to insult the modesty of a woman and for issuing direct threats to life. Police have initiated an investigation into the digital evidence provided by the complainant.———Three from auto loot gang arrested Ahmedabad: Three members of a gang were arrested for allegedly luring passengers into autorickshaws and robbing them. The action followed a complaint with Ellisbridge police. An elderly Vadaj resident returned to the city from Rajkot and boarded an autorickshaw near Paldi. When they reached Ashram Road, the driver and his associates allegedly threatened the man with a knife and robbed him of Rs 1 lakh before fleeing. Those arrested have been identified as Nilesh Salvi, Sohil Sheikh and Mehul Rawat.
