Ahmedabad: The city on Thursday recorded 4mm of rainfall until 8pm. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, the city may experience light to moderate showers on Friday. At 32.8 degrees celsius, the maximum temperature was 4 degrees below normal, whereas at 25.3 degrees celsius, the minimum temperature was 1.9 degrees below normal. The monsoon trough persisted from the northeast Arabian Sea to the northwest Bay of Bengal on Thursday.Across Gujarat, 170 of the 252 talukas recorded at least 1mm of rainfall. While six talukas received more than 100mm of rain, 25 other talukas received more than 50mm of rainfall. The forecast indicates chances of heavy to very heavy rain in parts of Banaskantha, Patan, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Navsari, Valsad, Rajkot, Junagadh and Kutch on Friday. Several other districts, including Gandhinagar and Mehsana, may receive heavy rain.
