The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has today informed the Rajya Sabha Secretariat that MP Raghav Chadha should no longer be allotted time to speak in Parliament.
In a formal communication, the party also requested the Secretariat to appoint MP Ashok Mittal as the new Deputy Leader of AAP in the Upper House, replacing Chadha.
The change reflects the party’s internal leadership adjustments in the Rajya Sabha ahead of the upcoming parliamentary sessions.
Earlier, he had made headlines for advocating that paternity leave be made a legal right in India. He argued that caregiving should be a shared responsibility between both parents. He emphasised that laws must reflect the realities of modern parenting and ensure equal participation of both parents in early childcare
