Rajkot: A married woman allegedly died by suicide after falling from the ninth floor of a residential building in the Vardhaman Nagar area of New Ring Road on Thursday evening, a day before her 24th birthday.The deceased was identified as Mansi (23), wife of Milan Ambaliya and a resident of Railnagar. She had reportedly been visiting her parents at Vardhaman Green Residency when the incident occurred.Mansi was taken to AIIMS-Rajkot, where doctors declared her dead.Police sources said Mansi and Milan had been married for around three years and seven months. Cops learnt that the couple had been facing marital discord over her allegation that Milan was not giving her enough time. The issue led to frequent arguments.According to the police, the couple had argued over the matter on Thursday, following which Mansi went to her parental home. She allegedly took the step sometime after reaching there.The incident occurred a day before Mansi’s 24th birthday, leaving her family members devastated.University police registered an accidental deathand began an investigation. Statements of family members from both households are being recorded, while police are examining the circumstances surrounding the marital discord and any other factors that may have contributed to her death.
