Ludhiana: The local police have arrested two habitual offenders and seized a stolen motorcycle, a country-made .315 bore pistol, and two bullets. The arrests were made by a police team led by ASI Karamjit Singh during a special patrol near Sua Puli Majri on April 19.The accused were intercepted at a check post following a tip-off. Investigations revealed that the duo had recently robbed a shop at gunpoint, looting ₹1,000 in cash.According to the police, both men are habitual criminals with a history of theft, robbery, and snatching across Khanna, Doraha, Samrala, and parts of Ludhiana and Fatehgarh Sahib. Several cases are already registered against them at City 1, City 2, and Sadar police stations in Khanna.The suspects reportedly targeted shopkeepers and elderly persons, using the pistol to threaten them before snatching cash and mobile phones. They are also suspected of being involved in drug abuse and the sale of stolen property.During questioning, it was discovered that the motorcycle had been snatched from Sahnewal. Police have registered a case and obtained a court remand for further interrogation.
