Buxar: Thousands of youths, BJP workers and local residents gathered at Kamal Seva Kendra here on Sunday to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 138th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’. According to BJP functionaries, Buxar was the only venue selected from Bihar and one of 24 locations identified across the country for the special collective listening programme.Buxar MLA Anand Mishra attended the event along with BJP district president Om Prakash Bhuvan, state convener Prabhakar Mishra, Mahila Morcha district president Kanchan Devi and Yuva Morcha district president Avinash Pandey.In his address, Modi urged young people to stay away from drugs and contribute to the campaign for a drug-free India. He also stressed the need to channel the energy and talent of the youth towards nation-building.With Oct 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, approaching, Modi also called for greater public participation in cleanliness drives and urged citizens to strengthen the cleanliness campaign. Centre’s ‘Swachhata Hi Seva 2026’ campaign is being observed from Sept 17 to Oct 2 with an emphasis on public participation.The large turnout of youths marked the highlight of the programme in Buxar, where the event was organised as part of the collective viewing of and listening to Prime Minister’s monthly radio programme.kaish67@gmail.com
