Ghaziabad: A 30-year-old woman and her two-year-old daughter were found dead in Khoda area on Friday evening. The deceased were identified as Preeti Singh, a homemaker, and her daughter Akshita. Preeti’s husband, Anirudh alias Sonu, has been detained for questioning.According to Anirudh’s sister Rinki Singh, who lives on rent with her family in the same building in Bharat Vihar, and neighbours, no dispute between the husband and the wife had ever come to light. Anirudh is a lab technician at a private hospital in Kaushambi.Indirapuram ACP Suryabali Maurya said that Anirudh, a resident of Hardoi, and Preeti, a native of Unnao, were married for four years. Soon after marriage, the two came to live on rent on the second floor of the two-storey house of Chandra Singh. On the ground floor of the building, Rinki lives. “Sonu was unwell on Friday, due to which he did not go on duty. At 5.30 in the evening, Sonu went out to get medicine. Shortly after Sonu left, 10-year-old Ananya, the daughter of Rinki, reached the flat. Ananya kept knocking on the flat door for some time. When the door didn’t open, she peeped in through the window. Inside, she found the mother and daughter dead,” he said.“Hearing her screams, neighbours and Rinki also reached the spot. People broke open the flat door, but no one tried to take them to hospital. During this time, someone informed Dial-112 about the incident. After that, teams from Dial-112 and Khoda police station reached the spot. Police sent the bodies for autopsy. The forensic team also reached,” the ACP added. Trans-Hindon Zone DCP Rijual said that they got the information about the incident around 6.30 pm from Dial-112.
