Prayagraj: The Ganga Task Force of 137 CETF Battalion (TA), 39 Gorkha Rifles, conducted a cleanliness drive at VIP and Arail Ghats on Friday and Saturday to mark World Water Monitoring Day and World Cleanup Day.Led by Lt Col Ashish Patel, the campaign was organised in coordination with Namami Gange Ganga Praharis, Maa Ganga Seva Samiti, local NGOs and devotees. Participants were sensitised about water conservation, prevention of pollution and the need to keep the Ganga and its ghats clean. They were urged not to throw plastic, garbage or other waste into the river. The campaign stressed community participation and collective responsibility under the message, “Clean Water, Clean Ganga-Secure Future.”
