Patna: Future managers would need to combine effective use of AI with critical thinking, ethical judgment, empathy and continuous learning, IIM Bodh Gaya director Vinita S Sahay said at the sixth edition of the institute’s annual management conclave, Gyanodaya 6.0, on Saturday.The conclave, themed “Reimagining work: Talent, leadership and performance in an AI-driven world”, featured four panel discussions involving industry representatives, HR professionals and academicians. The discussions focused on AI adoption, people management, leadership, employability and data-driven decision-making.A panel on HR in the modern era highlighted that employability now extends beyond academic credentials, with employers seeking communication, adaptability, creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills.Another session examined AI-driven business, digital transformation and data-led decisions, stressing the importance of strong fundamentals and human judgement. The concluding panel discussed the role of human judgement in talent and leadership decisions.The conclave concluded with a vote of thanks by professor Rajani Suresh.
