Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) on Thursday declared the results of the PCS-2025 main written examination, with 2,297 candidates qualifying for the interview stage.A total of 10,284 candidates appeared for the PCS Main examination, which was conducted in Prayagraj and Lucknow from March 29 to April 1.UPPSC secretary Girijesh Kumar Tyagi said the recruitment drive covers 28 categories of posts with a total of 814 vacancies. Of these, two posts will be filled solely on the basis of the written examination, and their results will be announced along with the final selection list.For the remaining 812 posts, candidates will be selected based on their performance in the main written examination and the interview. The commission will issue a separate detailed notification regarding post preferences and the interview process for qualified candidates.The PCS-2025 recruitment process began with 6,26,387 applications. Of these, 2,65,270 candidates appeared for the preliminary examination held on Oct 12, 2025.The recruitment notification had initially advertised 200 vacancies, but the number was later increased to 920. This includes 814 PCS vacancies and 106 posts under the Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF)/Range Forest Officer (RFO) examination.The preliminary examination results were declared on Dec 1, 2025, with 11,727 candidates qualifying for the Main examination.The commission said candidates’ marks and category-wise cut-off marks will not be released at this stage. These details will be made available only after the final selection results are declared.UPPSC also clarified that the result of the petitioner in Writ Petition No. 4253 of 2026, Archit Shivam Mishra vs State of Uttar Pradesh and Others, will remain subject to the final judgment in the case.Further details regarding post preferences and interviews will be communicated separately, the commission said.
